Re: Moses not signing
The Song loan deal apparently includes a clause that if he plays a certain number (undisclosed) of games (it's 15 so far this season) it triggers a permanent move from Barcelona. I've read - sorry, can't recall where - that 15 is apparently "close".

So don't expect to see him much at all again. With Kouyate out for 3 we need Obiang to shine.

We should let these people go

Re: Moses not signing
Alex Song is still a class player and our squad is far better off for him being in it!
If we are to be competing with the top teams in the league, we need as strong a bench as possible.

Re: Moses not signing
We shiuldnt sign Song on the basis of his form over a year ago and his wages are not going to be great value

Emenike has potential and is improving - ive not seen enough from him to be sure but there may be better signings out there in the summer.

Moses as someone said below i was impressed initially but he's not been consistent and now with Antonio no chance for Moses.

Policy of a mix of young hungry players with existing squad would be my preference

Re: Moses not signing
I think it would probably of been better to wait until the end of the season before letting the three of them know we don't want to keep them!

I think Song is crocked.

Re: Moses not signing
I would hope we make a reasonable offer for Song, which will, of course, mean a considerable cut in wages for him. It's either that or rot in Barcelona's reserves. Hopefully he has now got the message that he is not indispensable to us, so I would also hope he has enough about him to take it on the chin and fight for his place in the side next season.

Re: Moses not signing
Moses and Song have both got more talent than most of our squad, Song could be world class, but they just both lack proper desire. You can just tell they see it as nothing more than a job, which if fair enough, nice little number to have, but let someone else pay them 80 bags a week for the pleasure.

Re: Moses not signing
I want to keep Song, would have liked to have seen him get more game time but still think he adds quality to the squad. Not fussed in the slightest about Moses and can take or leave Emineke.

Re: Moses not signing
I didn't realise that had been confirmed. Where does that leave half of our midfield in that case?

Re: Moses not signing
Vexed, no room for Song now that we've bought in the Norwegian.

Vexed 8:04 Mon Apr 4
Re: Moses not signing
They must be asking a few quid for Emineke, seems like a no brainer to keep him otherwise, unless we really think we're signing two top drawer strikers this summer? Moses is no surprise. We'll regret letting Song go if we get rid. Class player that should be getting more game time.

Thank fuck for that.

I thought Moses was a great signing; then Antonio played, showed great commitment, scored goals, now has a good left foot and has tightened up his dribbling. He's shoved Moses out, not pushed him out.

Emenike was always a punt, a 4th striker. No big deal.

I think Song is the surprise, but Obiang's been better. No issue with Song going back either.

Re: Moses not signing
Does it matter what Fenerbace fans think, now we've actually seen him play a few times?

Emenike's an upgrade on what we had before, and not awful. If we get a further upgrade, we won't miss him, if we don't, we will.

Re: Moses not signing
I've got a Fenerbace mate here in Costa Rica who told me their fans are praying that we take Emenike off their hands .

Done a job for us, looked good when he's in the mood but as said previously too hit n miss.

Re: Moses not signing
He should wake up, realise he's unlikely to have a future at Chelsea, and start playing his socks off to get one someone else - probably too late to do this for us, though.

Re: Moses not signing
OK..
Moses not good enough or consistent...Antonio is better

Emenike just csnt score at Prem level...

Song overpriced...underperfomer in second season...

Move on...

Re: Moses not signing
No real shock, he shown quality in flashes but nothing more and been very inconstant when he has been fit.
